Welcome to Chesham Folk Club
Every Monday at the White Hill Centre, Chesham
Our online entertainments have gone very well, and since our last newsletter we’ve had a great online feature from Mike Lawley, as well as some great floor (sofa?) performers. Our old and new friends have zoomed from as far afield as Wales, Cornwall and Canada!
We’re re-starting our (what pass for) normal in-person sessions at the White Hill Centre on Monday, 6 September, but far flung friends will be pleased to know that we’ll be streaming from the White Hill Centre until further notice!
IMPORTANT ZOOM NEWS!
All our events in September will still be on Zoom, see individual pages for the code
To keep everyone safe, we will arrange the room to allow greater space between seats.
Please be ready produce your current NHS vaccination certificate either on paper or on your phone on entry and (unless you can produce evidence of a medical exemption) wear your mask except when actually seated (as in restaurants / pubs)
The club has been in existence since 1964 and in our current home since 1989..
We actively seek to provide quality entertainment at a sensible price. Each month we normally have a main ‘Guest’ Night’, a ‘Feature’ Night’ giving opportunities to local or emerging artists, interspersed with Singers Nights.
The Club meets in a classic first floor school room, with superb acoustics, and with no encroaching bar noise. There is disabled access via a platform lift. The Centre has a well-stocked bar, normally with a real ale on tap, coffee and an area where you can relax and have a chat. Drinks can be brought up to the Club Room. There is safe parking on site – see ‘About the Club’ for further details.
Please use this website to learn more about the club, our upcoming guests, and what we believe in.
