Welcome to Chesham Folk Club

Every Monday at the White Hill Centre, Chesham

CORONAVIRUS AND CHESHAM FOLK CLUB

In line with government guidance the club remains closed until further notice.

We’re keenly following the Government’s review of the lockdown and will reopen as soon as it’s safe and legal.

In the mean time you are welcome to join us on one of our Zoom sessions. All the information for these Zoom sessions is published on our regular Newsletters along with all the up to date News which you can receive by filling in the ‘Subscribe to our mailing list’ form on this page. Or email cheshamfolk123@gmail.com

Other options for your folk fix on line –  Everyone from Julian Mount to Richard Thompson seem to be broadcasting “pay as you feel” performances with virtual tip jars, and Unicorn Magazine’s blog https://unicornmagazine.wordpress.com/ has details of loads of online folk to keep us at our normal level of insanity during the crisis.

The Invisible Folk Club is the place to go for recordings and interviews with some of your favourite folk artists. Go to www.invisiblefolkclub.com , scroll down and click play on our podcasts for hours of great music. While you are there explore the rest of the site, you’ll find films and a link to our Patreon page where there are lots of exclusive goodies. And soon we’ll be announcing our festival. So visit us now and fill your days with great music.

Until we can meet again in person, please stay safe and well, keep your social distance and try not to run out of things to do during lockdown.

See you on the other side!

The club has been in existence since 1964 and in our current home since 1989..

We actively seek to provide quality entertainment at a sensible price. Each month we normally have a main ‘Guest’ Night’, a ‘Feature’ Night’ giving opportunities to local or emerging artists, interspersed with Singers Nights.

The Club meets in a classic first floor school room, with superb acoustics, and with no encroaching bar noise. There is disabled access via a platform lift. The Centre has a well-stocked bar, normally with a real ale on tap, coffee and an area where you can relax and have a chat. Drinks can be brought up to the Club Room. There is safe parking on site – see ‘About the Club’ for further details.

Please use this website to learn more about the club, our upcoming guests, and what we believe in.
